Where was her sound meter? That would be thrown out if you get pulled over again I would think. My beets sound loud as well. So far so good in that aspect of not getting harrassed.

edit: abit off topic,

Are they "Stock" Two Brothers or did you modify them? Maybe they need repacking. Because it has dual outlets, freer flow and more noise goes out the tail.

Oh I'm sure they need to be repacked - they've got 24K miles on 'em, and they're louder than another guy I ride with... (how much does repacking effect performance? or just noise level?) There used to be a page on their site about that, but I couldn't find it for the Dual Vale system...just the dirt exhaust...(different string).
Anyway - there's no way it would hold up - it was just harrassment in the Note section at the bottom, not in the fix-it section (got lucky there). She actually stood directly behind the bike and made me start it, then explained that the engine should be louder than the exhaust.....I thought about trying to explain why that might be a little poor of a test but.....hmmmmm....that's why she's not a rocket scientist....
They're just crackin down up there and she's just pissed shedidn't clock anyone in our group speeding....not that we do such things.....

Pack it with Ceramic wool. It won't wear out. Next time just tell them loud pipes save lives. I had some idiot in a Benzmove over into my lane as I was beside him. Didn't even turn his head to look then gives me the thumbs up further down the road. Good thing that I expect crap like that.

Hey Speed - sorry for all the questions, but where to get the ceramic wool (I'm not running the cf exhaust), is there a specific type? Does it come in sheets? Is there a way you're supposed to pack it? I'd like to do it this week...I rode behind another 636 with 2 bros this weekend and realized just how loud my bike is! Sounds good, just don't want the fuzz messin with me anymore.

Let me do some digging. I got some from some refractories place a while back. It does come in 1" thick sheets/ blankets.
