I just picked up a new 07.

I am not new to the sport as I have been riding, racing and doing track days and schools for over 20 + years.

I sold my 06 Gixxer 1000 and GS500 track bike. I am going to ride less on the street and spend more time doing track days so the 07 ZX-6R fit the bill.

This is not my first Kawi but it’s been a while.

So far I love the bike, its nice right out and I have started making changes.

Welocome to KF. What kind of changes have you made?

 

So far setup suspension, grips, throttle kit, ecu jumper, sliders, and spools.

Waiting on -1 & +2 kit with AFAM front and rearwith 520 DiD ERV3, superbike lines, brake pads and Power race tires <med/soft>.

Out of cash for now.

 

Throttle kit? any pics?
Suspension and tires are always first. Where did I miss this throttle kit that you are mentioning.

 

The kit is just like the BRG one except I made it myself out of 1 1/4 pvc 90 deg street elbo.

The brg kit is $35.00 the pvc is 99 cents at local home depot.

I agree with tires and suspension first. I just wanted to burn up the stockers at a track day as there is not much a market for them to try to sell.

welcome to the forum, i've only been here a few days but these guys are pretty helpful. although, from the sound of things you won't be needing any help lol. quick question though.... you say you just got rid of ur gixxr 1000... between the Kawi and the Gixxr... which do you like better (for street and cruising use)? i'm lookin to possibly get a gsxr1000 next year.
