Default interchangible parts

I would like to know if a motor from an 05 zx 636 would fit in a 03 zx6rr frame and also if I could swap the slipper clutch from a 05636 to an03 zx6rr. I was at a track day today and something in the bottom of my zx6 motor is knocking. Thank youfor any information

I can't say that it will bolt right up, but anything can be done. I would start be measuring the mount locations on the engine, and frame. To see how far off they are.

I have an 05 motor I was going toput in my 03 but since I got the 05 frame, I'll just put it in there. The 05 slipper clutch input shaft is a little longer that the 03. Your best bet would be to get an 03-04 ZX6RR slipper clutch & input shaft. I was in the process of reseaching that also tosee the difference between the 03 & 05 slipper clutches. I will let you know. As far as the motor, the engine mountshave an adjustablesleeve on the 05 and are slightlydifferent than the 03 but the locations may be the same. The width are a little wider on the 05 but can be made to fit/ modified. What kind of oil were you using?

Find some race cams (I have a set) and maybe a slipper clutch from an 03-04 ZX6RR and rebuild your motor.
