Default Info on ZX6R and ZX9R

I am looking to buy a new bike and it will probably be an older (97-02)ZX6R or ZX9R. I have been riding for 30 years and have owned a 78KZ 650,78KZ900,95GPZ1100,there have also been multiple dirt bikes as well.I cant wait to get on a ZX,with the lightweight and all that power it must be a rush.My only question is what kind of longevity can i expect out of these bikes, my other kawi street bikes took every bit of punishment i gave them and never complained i would hope the new ones would hold up just as well.Thank you for your time and input.

My hubby had a 2000 ZX9 with 24,000 miles on it when he sold it October of 2004 - last I knew it was still going. He took care of it though too - that makes a huge difference.

The new ones hold up just as well...... Kawi has always had the strongest motors on the market... I have 40,000 miles and she is still going strong.... There are a couple of riders on here, that have 2005 mdels with over 20,000 miles, and no probs....

Welcome aboard!! Enjoy your stay....
