I've lost the key to my bike. I think the dog may have swallowed it. anybody know what all the dealership needs to cut me a knew key? i gotta go there tomorrow anyways to pick up my new header gaskets so i wanna have everything cause its a 30 min drive

 

take the key code and shouldnt be that much

Ya, all u need is key code....

 

i would call in advance and see if they can have the key ready for you when u get there. dont wait until u get there.

 

well i went to the dealership today and they said i have to buy a new lock cylinder or have a locksmith cut me one. so new cylinder...103 dollars, locksmith 90 dollars.

 

your getting ripped off. with the key code should take any DECENT locksmith about 5 min and like $15

 

Exactly...... I had lost a key a while back, and I think it was around $20 with the metal tab with the key code on it....

Do you have the key code???

 

oh and if you dont have the keycode...the locksmiths gonna have fun..heheh

 

theres a seller on ebay with new uncut keys, it will be faster then ordering it through the dealership. just take that metal tab with the key code on it when you bought the bike an the new key to a locksmith and get your key cut. you will also have to look at you manual to program the new key chip to your bike for it to work.
