to clean that up, take a medium sized sharpie and trace aound the puck. kinda hard to explain but rest the marker on the slider and go around the plastic, that way the marker on the slider keeps your mark in line on the plastic, pull your fairing off and slowly grind away. if your comfy with it, just remove the slider and grind it while its on the bike.

In my haste I forgot I bought new 1 inch sanding drums for my dremel. But of course the dremel battery was dead so I hooked the drum up to my drill and voila!! She is sanded and looking good (other than the scratches of course) That is ok though it was bound to happen and now I won't cry as long when she gets a battle scar.

 

ya it kinda sucks that it was scratched in the process but hey your not the only one....happened to me when i put my sliders on too
