Agree with you there!
Personally, I love hitting her a little harder through the twisties - am making quite a bit of progress on the old chicken strips from last year. Theres still some there but not much I generally take it pretty easy, I want to have a long and fun biking career - not a short one!

always got to be a newbee ruining a good forum. nice restraint gotrice. tell them how it is going to be here. we all could find another site if we wanted to listen to that crap.
i like the twisties and corner carving. try to keep my head on the street. not very good at following local traffic laws though. by no means the best because if i was you would be reading about griffin instead of hayden, spies, zemke, yates, etc.
ps by the way i know i left out one key player in that mix dont like care for him. lol

I have found that most riders with extreme tire wear are buying take offs from track riders and trying to take credit for them. Weak!
Riders who think they can ride on the street like it is a race track are living on borrowed time.
Camera is ready, lets try the chaps first lol

Do not worry about your chicken stripes BB most people have them. It is pretty dam hard to not to have them on the front, you have to be hitting the corners hard to wear the front down. At that point you are ridding right on the edge and on the street there is little room to recover from any mishaps and you will end up crashing.

I'm not too worried about the chicken strips - but the only ones that I have noticed are the ones on my back tire! And as far as I'm concerned riding on the street like its a track is about the dumbest thing you can do. Like you said before, too many things that are completely out of your control. I want to still be out biking at 75 - so I'm careful but still have fun! Always ride within my comfort level.

"The track- full gas or full brake all the time, except for the corners but I should not even need to state that. Oh and no engine braking lol
The street / canyons – I exercise restraint, the right time in the right place I will get on it but never full on. There are just too many variables and things that I can not control. I get some pretty good tire wear on the canyons but nothing like the track bike.
IMO those who do hit it overly hard on the street should consider the risk they are taking and slow down.
I do not think I am by no means the best either, if I did you would be watching me on Sunday and sending me fan mail.lol"

city driving. I cant stand the wide open country roads. And the 636 doesnt handle turns very well, so i just like to putt aound in traffic. My average speed is probably 35mph on a good day. I try to make my tires last atleast 10k. Also with gas so high, i dont go above 4k. That gives me great gas mileage. All in all the 636 is good for a comuniter vehicle.
Gotrice; I'll trade your 636 for a Toys'R'us Bigwheel anyday.
