Default HID help please

I just picked up an HID kit for my 06 zx6r. I was wondering if any of you have installed one on your bikes and if so where did you mount both of the ballist. I think i can mount one where my carbon canister is but im not sure wher to mount the other. If i remove the carbon canister can i just connect the two hoses in to each other?

Thanks

Mount it under the inner fairing filler covers. Just below the handlebars.

Hey what kind did you decide to go with? I see SO many HID kits out there. Please post pics of it when it's done with its light color in the dark...I cant decide between 8000 or 6000K'ish color. Also, how much did it cost if you don't mind me askin. Thanks and good luck installing it!

Hey speed on my left inner faring filler it has a foam liner for the carbon canister (its a Ca bike) do i have to remove both of foam and the canister. If so what do i do with the two vent hoses?

The kit is some el-cheep-o brand off e-bay Tenon is what is on the ballist. I got both hi and low H7 for $46 shipped to my door.

Thanks for the input

I'd have to see the hoses. The vacuum hose from the throttle body needs to be plugged atthe TB and the one to the tank ventleft open.

I have recieved a few PMs from you guys (which is cool) and I thought I would bump this post and include the e-mail that i just sent to proboarder093. Hope it helps.

The seller on e-bay that i got them from has now raised there price. here is a link to their store http://stores.ebay.com/wholesale-hid
I got the kit that is now priced at $63.99 shipped. my bulbs are the H7s i believe yours are the same but you might double check. If you pop one out it will be stamped on the bulb.

You might be able to find a set cheaper on e-bay, you might have to do some diggin though.
Here is what you do.
#1 - go to e-bay
#2 - click on the motors tab
#3 - click on the parts and accessories tab
#4 - type HID conversion kit in the search bar
#5 - in the sort by tab change it from time ending soonest to Price: lowest first

Then all you have to do is find the kit you want. when I found my kit the bid started out with a price of $.01 and I found the cheapest shipping charge and bid on it. You want to look for the kits for the cars they come with two bulbs and ballasts. The motorcycle kits rip you off and only give you one bulb and ballast. They are all the same as far as functionality (watter proof vibration proof etc.). I got the 8000k and they are real bright and blue. The 6000k will be brighter and whiter. The higher up on the Kelvin scale the more color you will get but with more color you get less visibility. my HID low beam is 2-3 times brighter than my old low and high combined. My HID low and high together is 4-5 times brighter.

good luck

e-mail me back if you have any questions

The cheapest one i found starts out at $.01 with $41.00 shipping. I would bid around $10-$15 and see what happens.
