Default help with yoshi map!

hi everyone. i just bought a new 636 2 days ago, its an 06 LE and the dealership had a Yoshimura RS5 slip on put on already. i am looking to buy a pc3 but there is not a current map available. does anyone have a custom map for a yoshi slip on? i was also wondering if i should get a filter? bmc or k&n? and one more Q, what damper should i go with? thanks everyone and any other mods or ideas are always welcome. (i bought frame savers, flush signals, fender eliminator, and intergrated tail light already)

Go to the dyno jet web page and e-mail the techs with your info and they will tell you which map to use. You can also get a custom map done if you know of a shop that has a dyno. They run usally around 200 - 250. Yes go with a K&N. The damper I like IS the GPR.

Also try some of the other manufacturers maps. You might like them better. The best is like Mike says; get a Custom Map done for the best power, driveability& performance.

I went with the BMC over the K&N. Nothing against K&N I use them on all my trucks and cars, but when talking to the guys at FuelMotoUSA they suggested the BMC. If you order a PC3 you might want to look at Fuelmotousa.com, They'll give you a custom map for your mods which is nice if you can't get to a dyno right away. The map they gave me actually made good power. I got 107hp, but thats also at 7,500 feet. I haven't gotten a custom map yet since the dyno broke during my run (bastards!), so I'm going back in, in the next week or so. I've heard good things about the GPR, but I think I'm going to go with the HyperPro since I use the steering stem for a radar mount. Sprockets is a cheap great mod from what others are saying.

The K&N and the BMC's have opposite pleats. One is vertical and the other horizontal from the ones I compared. I had one tuner tell me that he would rather run a stock A/F rather than a K&N. He said the BMC is better. If you get one, get the Street filterif you ride on the street.

i ran the M218-008Akrapovic slip-on exhaust Stock or aftermarket air filter map with the yosh pipe on the track friday. had k&n. felt strong for the most part. didnt feel 100% in third gear over 9000 rpm. maybe it was my imagination. thinking about getting dyno tune.
