Help w/ Frame Sliders!
The bike i'm getting is in PERFECT body shape so i want to keep it protected from my clumsy butt. So i want to get frame sliders for it. I've found a few different choices.
Lockhard Phillips Pro Impact: Made from ultra high molecular polyethylene.
Billet Aluminum.
and ones made from Delrin.

RE: Help w/ Frame Sliders!
i had ones like that on my '98 zx6r, i found them in the ditch along with a bunch of other parts. the problem with those ones is that the bolt is so small, it's easily bent or broken. for a tipover they might be ok. i had written a thread about this very thing not long ago. if u want real protection (i'm told) you basically need a cage. i am gonna get a set of woodcraft no cut frame sliders i think (suppose to be decent), just so i don't have to cut my fairing. there is also a product on the market called race railz i think. might wanna check them out for a cross between sliders and a cage. good luck and let us know what u decide

RE: Help w/ Frame Sliders!
I have a set of woodcraft frame sliders. They won't protect everything but i recently got my bike pushed over and i ended up with a broken mirror and some scratchs on my fairing. If i didn't have the sliders the damage would have been alot more. As you can see on the black bike, all the white or grey lines are deep scratchs.
Here is some pics.

RE: Help w/ Frame Sliders!
I have looked high and low for Frame Sliders to fit my 2001 Kawasaki ZX6R and those are about the only 3 i'm pulling up online. I went ahead and for $15 bucks got ones similar to the carbon ones only they have a tiny bitty "Ninja" on them. I figure...i'm just gonna muck them up anyway i'm sure.

where did you find them? because really...those are the only 3 i could find. They have frame sliders for about 2003 and up but when i try to find something for 2001...nada. Not a lot to choose from. I just hope that the ones i bought stick out that far. Thats the point right?
