HELP SPEEDO TROUBLE!!

RE: HELP SPEEDO TROUBLE!!
The way i saw it even in the rear sprocket was biger it would still spin the front at the same speed, but with more surface area on the rear sprocket each rotation would take longer even though the front sprocket still moves the same. I never was very good at math.

Thats correct the front would still move at the same speed but you would actually change your travel speed. That is why when you get it from the factory there is a issue with the speed up too 10%. Just because your front sprocket is still traveling at the same speed does not mean that you bike is traveling at that speed. Thats why when you set your bike for excel your speed is off. So it will show you going 120 but you probably are only traveling at 105-108 mph. So does it make sense or am I way off track?

Sorry about the useless knowledge. I actually was pretty good at math. I guess I did learn something from all those Honor classes. Maybe it was all the science honor classes. Can not remember which one it would pretain too. Wish I was better at spelling though.

RE: HELP SPEEDO TROUBLE!!
Actually, a speedo healer will fix it. I got an email from them saying that an accessory to the speedo healer will take care of the problem. The 05 requires a stonger pulse signal. Also, the speed sensors are located in differnt locations: the 03-04 is on the side of the front sprocket cover and the 05-06 is on top of the trans/engine case. Good thing there is a simple fix.
Here is the actual email I got back from them:
"The speed sensor is ok, but the '05 speedometer requires more pulse at the
same wheel revolution.
To fix this, a SpeedoHealer with extended calibration range should be
installed.
This part can be ordered through our website:
SHv3.0-C8 with Kawasaki-I harness kit"
