RE: HELP on choosing a ninja.
What % of street riders use even 50% of the capability of these things?? [sm=gears.gif]
I do. I like staying conservative at around 70% capacity for the streets.

RE: HELP on choosing a ninja.
i've had a 98 and now i have an 07. the new bike handles alot better and it pulls a bit better too. i've never ridden any other ninjas to compare them to but i would say that the 98-02 are a GREAT bike to learn on. personally i think if i ever got rid of my 07 i might try an 05 or 06 636 just because of the bottom end power. anyway, welcome aboard and don't forget to post pix of the new ride. p.s. if it's a kawi....IT'S GOTTA BE GREEN lol. i'm gonna get flamed for that one [8D]( although the 08 kawi looks like baby poo)

RE: HELP on choosing a ninja.
I got my 05 636 because at the time it was the most comfortable sportbike on the market (I thought so at least). That and it performed well and just looked down right sexy. Kawasaki did a great job on the 05 and 06. I didn't like the Ninjas prior to 05 mostly due to the fact that the seats seemed to slope downward toward the gas tank and I felt like I was sitting on my *****.[:@] And don't be afraid of a bikethat has 10k or 15k miles on it, these engines will last quite a while!

Whatever you get, make sure it's black. Black is more comfortable and reduces wind buffeting by 9.5%
