Default Help

I dropped my 1997 ZX6R and cracked the engine cover generator, its on the bottom left of the motorcycle. Anyway oil or some fluid drained out and I'm just asking if this is something I can fix myself and what drained out was it oil?

Yes, it was oil. You can take it off and get it welded, replace it with a new or billet aluminumone, or I have even seen people epoxy or JB weld it just to get by. There should be lots of those available on ebay.

Welcome to KF jtmag29026
Bummer on the cracked cover.
You can pull out your TIG welder if you wanted to fix it yourself. Or pay someone else $20-$30 to do the same.
Aftermarket covers are not too cheap but are of heavier material.

Thanks for the replies, I ordered a new cover because I do not have the tools to weld it, oh well lessons learned.
