I'm looking at a 1996 ninja zx6 (not zx6r) for $2700 w/ matching gear (jacket, gloves, and helmet). The bike has only 5000 miles on it and no mechanical damage. Cosmetically it has some flaws and scratches, the biggest being the upper fairing paint doesn’t exactly match the same shade of green as the rest of the bike, tires also have low tread. Other then that it's solid. I offered $2700 for it and the guy accepted. Do you think this is a good deal or should I perhaps try to renegotiate?

I think its bad to make an offer, have the seller accept, and then try to renegotiate- very bad form. As far as the price, sounds a little on the high side,regardless of the mileage.Do you have any pics? It would help . . .

 

In my area under 3K for anything that runs well is reasonable. If it runs good, and the plastics can be repaired, I would be OK with it.

Yeah, I only say a little high due to the tires- a new set runs around 300 mounted . . . so, factor in tires, and fee's along with the bike, . . . $3200.00

If the bike is current on tune ups and oil change, then I would probably go for it. . . .

Sounds like a real good deal to me. In my area, most anything under $4k is going to have over 30k miles. I just bought a '94 zx6 with 3500 miles on it for $2400. Unfortunatley, someone backed into it and knocked it over the first day I had it.
