Freeing up extra HP on ZX6R

Make sure the jumper is thick enough to make a good contact. If you used a paper clip, make sure it conducts electricity. Use an aluminum one.

I believe the ECU was designed for this mod. In the Euro Spec'd ECUs, these two wires are probably crossed somewhere to disable this EPA crap. There are no ill-effects that anyone has heard of. I have a question though. If I were to buy the PCIII, should I disconnect this jumper?

The wiring diagram of the Euro models show the Jumper installed from the factory. I wonder why because the Euro emissions are stricter than ours.

Dcorlando I asked the same question before and they said that it shoul still give you horse power on top of the pcIII. sO NO YOU DON'T HAVE TO DISCONNECT IT.

The ECU Jumper Mod controls the Exhaust valve from signalsby the ECU. The Jumper Mod also affects the fuel at high RPMs so even if you get rid of the exhaust valve or install an aftermarket exhaust, the bike will still shut off fuel at top-end Rpm range. The engineers wouldn't design a system that would still dump fuel in with the exhaustvalve restricted. That would cause extra unburned fuel to ignitein the exhaust possibly causing a fire.It would greatly affect emissions and melt the Catalytic Converter.
There is a lot of mis-information out there on the internet &other forums.
So, Bottom Line: The ECU Jumper Mod affectsthe fuel supply andpartially closes/ restrictsthe exhaust valve.
Please spread the word.
