Default FNG with an 06

New here, but not to bikes. I am in the process of prepping an 06 636 for track only use and am curious as to what most of you are doing when it comes to the exhaust flapper when going with a pipe? How are you getting rid of the FI light on most of these bikes?

Yep, go nna do a bunch of searches on past topics as well, but wanted to introduce myself here! I am not just another inexperiended rider asking stupid questions and will be looking forward to contributing here as well! I love doing track days (Current track bike has been an 06 CBR 600RR) and riding back roads around my area!

See you on the road!

Two brothers exhaust kit came with an adapter to nullify the servo for that exhaust flapper. Also came with an FE kit. Pretty nice setup with their exhausts.

Is that one a slip on only or does it come with a mid pipe as well?

FE kit? Not familiar with that term.

there is a little control module under the seat that you have to block from turning all the way around. i have also heard of ways to do it electronically, by tricking hte comp into thinking that whole system is still in place but i dont know how to do that one, i think if you call the exhaust manufacture they can tell you

have fun out there at the track, wish we had a track around here

Where you located? I have two tracks about two hours either way, so it's not too bad!

Thanks for the info. Will check into the "trick the ECU" deal too since I would like to pull the whole module for weight savings if I can get away with it.

The ecu trick has been posted on these forums. At least the site on how to do it has been listed.

You talking about the jumper wire trick or one on how to completely eliminate the whole valve module?

oops, yes you are correct. Was thinking the ecu. If the 10r can be tricked on the valve, why not the 6? Look at sup_uni's Pretty much like the 10r.
