Umm... pull hoses?

All you have to do is remove 2 10mm bolts from the water pump and number 1 cylinder. Open the radiator cap, run a hose through there to flush all the remaining coolant. Lean the bike side-to-side to remove any remaining water. Refill, top off expansion tank.
Hmmmm. I was not aware that they had the drain bolts! Just as easy to pull one hose clamp though........
Pulling a hose clamp decreases the seal of your hoses. The hoses are meant to stay. Repeated pulling can only increase your chances of cracks, premature wear, and drying out. A $24 hose is much more expensive to pay for than a $.25 drain bolt. Not to mention, pulling a hose does NOT guarantee you have all the OLD fluid out.

To burp bubbles. Fill up your reserve tank and radiator up to the fill line. Start the bike. Squeeze and tap the hoses (be vigorous but don't break anything) until you stop seeing the bubbles come out of the radiator. Fill as necessary. Do not overfill the fill line. Stop bike. Replace cap. Add to reservoir. Start bike, allow the bike to warm up and the fan to kick in. Turn off, set for 30 minutes, check fluid level. Repeat as necessary.

For furturereference.
2-52 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
Maintenance Procedure
Coolant Change
WARNING
To avoid burns, do not remove the radiator cap or
try to change the coolant when the engine is still
hot. Wait until it cools down. Coolant on tires will
make them slippery and can cause an accident
and injury. Immediately wipe up or wash away any
coolant that spills on the frame, engine, or other
painted parts.
Since coolant is harmful to the human body, do not
use for drinking.

hey ratkiller, since you are in SD, maybe slip a little water wetter in there. we dont get the freezing temps and it does help with those east county rides when it heats up. dont forget to use distilled water and not tap. i am sure you already know this.

i had to change my fluid a few months back before track day. they dont like antifreeze in there on the track. if you plan to track your bike i would go ahead and just use water and water wetter. saves you the pain of having to do this again.

did you hear about the "rat" infestation at mission bay? hehe

Good call Dave. Water Wetter is the hole reason for the flush. The bike was registering temps higher than normal, nothing to serious but I have over 6k on her so I thought is was time for a change anyway.

But yea I hear theratsescaped for a pharmaceutical company and are the size of a large dog.
