Finally got the bike up here! In fact, rode it from Van Nuys yesterday morning to work in Sunnyvale. Up at 5am - 4+ hours of flat, fast, boring riding with a heavy back pack. That's the worst ride ever. Now gotta get up in those twisties!

 

glad to hear you made it safe. If you want some nice roads look up hwy 9. Try to go during the week. If its on a weekend then plan your ride to end before 10am. Becarefull there are some bad riders that go there. I've heard a few storyies of riders blowing apex's around blind corners going into the oncoming lane hiting another rider. Thats why I say go durring the week or early on the weekend.

 

Damn. Sounds like the canyons are pretty busy up here on the weekends! Thanks for the input. Lemme know if any of you are hittin anything local and want a socal immigrant taggin along...

 

right on bro! yeah all the canyons around here get crackin on the weekends. we'll have to hook up one of these weekends and carve some twisties.

I did not see anything related to work. But a 4 hr cruise is a good shake down.

 

Im not to far from santa clara. Im just north like 30 min on bike or an hour in a car. Im in San Ramon. It would be cool to go riding with some people on here.

We need to plan some a ride. I say we get on hwy 1 near marin take it all the way up north to leggit to 101 to 36.[sm=exactly.gif]and back.

 

Ok I just maped it out. Don't know if you would want to do that route. From stinson beach to the end of 36 one way is 650ish miles.
