Finally in the club!!!
This bike just freakin amazes me! In all fairness i am new to street riding so i have no point of reference. lol
Not quite the same riding as dirt bike riding. One thing i have learned from dirt bike riding is to wear protection.
Did a few rides in some twisties in some local mountains. Bike is amazing. Starting to get the corner carving down. the key seems to be a steady throttle and controlling the urge to brake in a turn. love it!

RE: Finally in the club!!!
oh...just in case anyone in socal is looking...i got the last blue one in san diego. bought at quinsey for $8799 OTD. they had another but it had a silver dollar sized dent in the gas tank. the closest blue one would be Orange County. Lots of green around town.

True blue all the way. Yes your right about the corner, use correct entry speed, get her leaned in and crack the trottle, roll on the throtel through the corner with out making any off on and your good.
Great reading material, Twist of the wrist 1 and 2.
Have fun and ride safe.

man if it were up to me i would have one in every color except that orange/red. was really close to getting green. every black one i saw had too many light scratches.
Notstock - i am reading that exact book. when i am done. i will read it again. It's kind of funny to read about some of the exact things i am doing. When i started riding in the desert sand on my dirtbike, loosening up my grip made a huge difference in stability and speed. my first few street rides i had sore hands. the more i ride the more i loosen up. love that book so far.
They should just hand it out at the dmv

Not that I am any expert but that book has helped me alot. I am trying to overcome poor ridding position and getting everything to click perfectly, braking, downshifting, getting her leaned in and getting through the corner. Have little problem getting off the corner just my approach sucks.
I really want to go to Codes school and hopefully will some day!

I was going to go to the track day in willow coming up next week. my buddy signed up but was told the novice class was full. i would just go to watch. need a little more road time before something like that. definately a goal to work towards. i think he is on the list for cancelations. kind of sucks because i took the day off already.
