I'm interested in a chain/sprocket setup.

 

Let me know what you guys/ gals want? Size of front & rear sprockets & type/ colorof 520 chain and I'llget the GB prices. If there is enough interest, I'll set-up another groupbuy through Chad.

I don't know anything about chains, sprockets. I want to gear it down alittle, but still ride my bike on the street 90% of the time so don't want it too crazy. Someone told me 520 chains are lighter but wear out faster. That is all I know. So what do I want? 2 down in the rear with a 520? 2 down 1 up? No idea here.

 

520 chain is lighter and will put more toque to the rear wheel. They do wear a little faster but a lot cheaper. If you want to increase excel but keep you top end I suggest douing what I did 2 teeth up in the rear. If you want more top speed less excel go down in the back or 1 up in the front. Hope this helps. It all depends on what you want to do with the gearing.

 

I want shorter gearing. At the one local track I basically do the whole track in 2nd gear because it is so tall. So maybe 2 up in the rear to just give it alittle more umph and get in the upper RPMs faster.

Good choice 06zx6r. unreal going down on the front 1 tooth is like going up 3 teeth on the back. Just to give you a helpful hint there. So when people say -1+2 it is the same as going up 5 in the rear.

 

So how drastic is a -1+2? If it isn't that bad, I'll want the same as 06zx6r. Gold chain with -1+2 with black/gold sprocket.

 

With that set up you won't have to try real hard to get the front tire off the ground.
