I have a Scorpion carbon fiber slip-on for my 06 ZX6-R. It sounds and looks great. I have only one question why has my gas mileage gone to ****? I am only getting 100 miles per tank. I just ordered my Power Commander and I was told that would help with the problem. Does any one have any sugesstions on this matter?

HAHAHA, you must be on the gas constantly to only get only 100 miles per tank.

I can get over 180 miles per tank with my Scorpion. You must stay in low gears/ rev the bike high a lot. My mileage isn't that bad even when I go riding hard. Somethings off.

Is that 100 mile before you low fuel light comes on? My tank is 4.5 gallons and my light usually lights at around 160. I have ridden till 190 before filling up but I was probably on fumes. My average is 42-44 miles per gallon with mostly highway miles. I haven't calculated it recently, but I bet the fuel MPG has improved especially with the colder weather and more (over 10K) miles on the bike.

100 miles when the fuel light comes on 3.5 gallons. I put it in the shop tomorrow to install my frame sliders and have my oil changed. So they said they would look into it.

Do you think not having the power commander on yet has a lot to do with the gas mileage?

No, the PC usually helps produce more power because of a freer flow with less weight (due to the exhaust) So you should get an improvement in mileage but, most of us like to get on it more so you get less MPG. All depends on how you ride.
