Default do i need to bleed the brakes

i opened the cap to check the brake fluid level because i couldnt see where it was from the side. then i closed it. i didnt evne open it all the way. i opened it a little bit and it sounded like when you open a 2 liter bottle of coke. then i closed it back. im not sure now but i think the brake lever has more travel then before and i hear a click whenever i pull the brake lever in. not sure if i just never heard the clicking before or if it just happened.

Default RE: do i need to bleed the brakes

the clicking is the brake light switch actavator. if the fliid was so low that air got into the system, then yes you need to bleed the system. if your fluid was ok and at the right level then no its fine. youll know if air is in the lines because the brake lever will hit the bars and you wont stop unless you pump the lever.
