Good point aszraelbut it can't be a whole lot differant than the factory back light , you'd still have the #'s and the bars to go by .

white is fine during the day, i have a white redline and can see it fine, during the day you shouldent be able to see anycolors

Thats good to know. White looks the best.

yes, is that where you wanted to start the red? at 12k rpm or did you want it lower or higher?

I'm pretty partial to the photo...........I'd prefer the red to start around 10000 or 10500 instead of 11000

The speedo is pretty easy to get off. Just remove the front fairing. then unbolt the cluster from the stay breaket. You might need to removie the intake tunnel. There is only one plug going into the center of the back of the cluster.
Thinking about it you you better remove the intake tunnel unless you got really small hands. The intake tunell is held in place by 4 bolts that are on the fron the frame. Sorry I don't got a better picture but you can get an idea of how its going to look with the front fairing off the bike.

There are 3 or 4 bolts holding it to the stay bracket. Its not hard to take off. I have never done any work on the bike and it took me about 15-20 min to get the whole front end off the bike.
