OK....well just a update....I took out the power commander tonight and put a completely stock muffler back on it. Still no change. Seems there is a box next to the #4 injector that is making a funny noise. Anyone know if modifying the header and taking out the cat will void your warranty? im thinking it shouldnt as if you change to a full exhaust it doesnt void your warranty. Im going to call the stealership tommorrow to find out for sure. Now im just mad.

 

dang, so it was not the PC.... I don't know if it would void the warranty, but I'm sure they would give you a hard time for it! Do you know what that box is that's making the funny noise? CDI? Coil?

 

does anybody know if changing the exhaust or turn signals would void the warrentee? or what well and what won't?

 

Bigrig....not sure...theres a lil black box between the #4 injector and the frame....thats whats making the noise.

 

EXAMPLES OF ITEMS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY
The following examples are not considered manufacturing defects and the cost for repair, replacement,
or maintenance must be borne by the unit owner:
1. Routine maintenance services including, but not limited to, oil changes and adjustments. This shall
include adjustments necessary due to environmental conditions such as barometric pressure,
temperature and humidity.
2. Replacements of such items as spark plugs, fluids, filters, seats, covers, painted, gel coated or
chromed parts, tires and rubber products, chains and sprockets caused by normal wear and
deterioration.
3. Repairs necessitated by accident, abuse, vandalism or neglect. This shall include subsequent
damage caused by continued use of the product after the discovery of a defect.
4. Repairs required as a result of failure to perform any of the normal maintenance services and/or
storage procedures as outlined in the Owner’s Manual. ie: Rust or battery sulphation.
5. Replacement or repair of any components damaged by scratching, chemical attack, impact,
temperature extremes or any other environmental or usage factors beyond the control of Kawasaki.
6. Repairs required as a result of use in competition racing, sustained wide-open throttle operation,
high-speed acceleration or over-revving the engine.
7. Repairs required as a result of any previous improper repair(s) or modification(s).


That's all I could find about warranty coverage... It is kinda vague. # 6 and # 7 could argue the Cat is an improper repair, or was done for racing purposes.. i would probably put as close as possible back to original TX.... JMO tho

 

You forgot the small print that states as soon as you ride away from the dealer you will have to fight for every warranty issue and the dealer is allowd to try and f%ck you out of any warranty work.
