Default Clutch slipping?

I had my clutch feel like it was slipping yester day when i was on the freeway and i was wondering what i should look for when it goes out.... What happened was i was on the freeway doing about 80-ish and i cranked on the throttle and instead of the kick in the pants i was expecting i hit my rev limiter... without even pulling the clutch in. Also, sometimes when i'm accelerating fast and i use the clutch to shift. it feels like the clutch doesn't disengage completly and i'll sit at high RPMS while i'm waiting for the transmission to start pulling.

How much play do you have at the lever? How many mile on the clutch? Is there drag in the cable; does it move freely? Lube it and make sure you ave play n the cable and at the lever. These are the basic things you need to check first before considering replacing the clutch.

Barnett clutches are said to be some of the best, AND they're kevlar...nice[8D]. those should do the trick alright. i put my clutch plates in wrong the first time, be sure they're in properly and to theright torque specs.hopefully your steel plates aren't fried.

You can get a little extra life from them by installing stiffer springs also. If you need steel plates too, get the whole kit.

also u might want to adjust your clutch cable to see if that will help, to tight will make your clutch slip and burn up a clutch fast, u want alittle slack in the clutch lever
