Carb issues.... What to do...

RE: Carb issues.... What to do...
Put the new carbs on, they are perfect, look great bolted right up and appear to be functioning propperly. Although the bike was severely flooded due to the old carbs. I opened up the throttle and sprayed in a bunch of starting fluid to attempt to dry out the plugs.. The bike still just sputtered so i am assuming that the plugs are fouled... Usually Starting fluid will ignite if there is ANY spark...

May want to check & change your oil too. Check the level; if the old carbs were dumping fuel in, your crankcase oil level will be overfull & diluted. Do you have a prime position on the fuel petcock? It may take a few try's at starting to get fuel in the new carbs float bowls.

I am on my way to a shop right now to get oil and plugs... Should I put some ATF or MMO in the plug holes and crank it over while the plugs are out.,to build the compression back up after having all that gas mix with the oil?

Why even add the MMO to build compression? To much gas prolly washed the liners but why overdo the addition of oil? do you think that the rings are dead now?

Well, I pulled the plugs (which were soaked and the electrodes on two were low) and replaced them with new plugs (ngk) I put fresh gas in the tank, and the new carbs on.
RUNS like a scalded monkey!!! No joke.. Has a slight hesitation if I open the throttle wide under 2krpm but if I just ease on the throttle under 2k.. MAN!
Thanks for all the help. I was almost getting worried!
