I have an 05 636. I havent rode the bike in a while due to weather so it has been sitting for a while, but every few weeks I would go out and start the bike for a while. It had been about a month since I last started the bike, but when I went out today to try to start it, no luck. It cranks and i can hear the fuel pump turn on, but the bike just wont start. I charged the battery, switched out the gas, and checked the air filter, but it still wont start. The first time I tried to start it, i cranked it for about 15 seconds, it back fired, but didnt start. It hasnt back fired since then but still wont start. Im starting to get frustrated so does anyone have any advice for me? Im planning on checking for spark tomorrow, but is there anything else i should check? Thanks for any help.

ok i tested for spark and i checked the plugs and they are good. There was a small spark when i tested, not sure if its suppose to be a bigger spark. And yes the kill switch is on. The fuel pump fills the fuel lines up, but I took the fuel line/injectors off the bike (while they were still hooked up), faced them to the side and tried to start the bike but no gas came out of the injectors. Anyone have any ideas?

Probably clogged injectors. Take your injectors off the bike, and send them to MPS racing in south florida. I think its $15 per injector, but they replace the screens and do a "before and after" test. They do awesome work. We send them off to them at my shop all the time. only takes a couple days.

Try some RXP in the gas tank or some gas drier like Heet. Alsospray some starting fluid in the intake to get it to fire and start pumping some clean fuel through. Usually when a vehicle sit outside for a while, the moisture in thefuel settles to the bottom and gets sucked in the pump & injectors and can even freeze if cold enough. It's worse when the temperature varies from hot to cold a lot. More condensation get in the tank during really cold or high humidity weather.
