i recently bought a 1985zx600r a model and ive been fixing many of the things that are wrong with it, but when unscrewing the thermostat switch in the radiator the wire fell off O.O mayb old? anyway i need another 1 and cant find anything... ANY help would be greatly appriectated..

P.S. alot of things for other countrys come up when i type parts for this bike idk why.. but i need to be able to purchase with american money thx every1!

You are supposed to unplug the sensor wires prior to removing/unscrewing the sensor! lol Did the wire just come unplugged or did the tang/wire on the sensor fall off due to rust etc?

 

The wiring that goes into the back of the sensor fell off... The wire was just bearly holding on by a few copper threads in the wire.. i tried to souder back together but no luck. would i be able to purchase at a dealership mayb? or is it to old?

 

I think i just might wire the fan to a switch and just use it when the motor starts to heat up and forget the sensor for now.

 

get the sensor, it is cheap. But so is wiring up a fan switch. All up to you. Good luck.

 

im pretty crafty, i was thinkin i might try to make some with epoxy and stuff, if i could find some flat pieces, or other pieces of the plastic. Any ideas?
