Default broken footpeg, fixed, no brake light

05 kawi zx6r - i fixed everything on the stay and footpeg, then i tried to put the spring back on and it seems to be too short to go from the brake light sensor to the actual pedal. anyone know what to do? it's the same one that came off b4 i put the new stay on but it just won't go where it needs to.

see the loop under the actual hook, thats what goes on the nipple coming off the break lever and the switch actuator spring goes on the hook part of the return spring. protect your eyes
