I ride a Ninja 250R and I am braking in the bike too. My bike cannot keep up with traffic compared to the zx-6r's so i am always around 5-6krpm. The dealer told me its okay I should be able to hit to 6k without any problems. I hope I won't mess up the bike.

 

I haven't seen one person near me with a Lime Green one. I wish I'd held out for the Silver and Red...but I "JUST HAD TO HAVE IT NOW!"

I just rode mine normal. I didnt go any fast than 80mph until my first oil change at 600 miles. and then the next 1000 I didnt go above 9k rpms. Now I just ride it regular staying at 7-8k cruising on the hwy. As long as you arent wide open at 150 mph you will be fine. Even after break in riding like that is still bad for the engine. Just ride fast enough to stay ahead of the traffic. They do not look for ya.

 

That's right. No one is really "looking" for motorcycles, they are subcontiously looking for other cars so they might look directly at you but not recognize you as another vehicle.
