Just to add my opinion to the whole break in thing an airplane engine is broken in by running it up 2 speed and back down to idle then back up to speed a couple times then letting it cool down. I don't recomend taking a new bike and just cranking on it right away but the key is to heat the engine and let it cool a couple times to seat the rings. I just rode at normal speeds during the break in and didn't try to pop wheelies or anything and i've had no problems out of it at all. Again jmo

Yup.. a car is the same way.. If you put a brand new motor in your car, are you going to give it hell right out of the garage? I don't think so....

I don't think you have to baby it, but don't romp the heck out of it either. Vary your rpm's, keep an eye on your temp and oil.....JMO tho !!!
