Well the movers packed up the bike...no more autobahn flights...I had to burn the gas out of her before they packed her so I did one last run...nice sunny but still cold...178 mph at almost 16,000...the bike still had a little left in her but I didn't...cross winds were shaking the front a little too much for my comfort zone...I had my fun here...now off to Cali...[sm=smiley16.gif]

Don't scare us like that with your subject tittle. For a second I thought it was stolen. Man, you're gonna miss that Autobahn. I wish we had roads like that here. I watched a documentary about the Autobahn and was impressed. They showed a modified Porsche doing 205 mph at night on damp roads! That surface must be awesome! They don't just do patch repair on it; they replace a whole section if it gets damaged or has a crack/pothole. The license fees are high also and that's why the roads are in such great shape. They use the money to fund the maintenance. We have some toll roads here in Texas like that.

you're right there is no pot hole filling...when a section starts to go bad they put up signs and slow the speed down to 60mph...the roads are extremely clean...the only debris you would find is if a truck just had a blowout...so pretty much never worried about hitting any kind of trash or damaged sections at high speeds...just had to watch the traffic...traffic that moves along at a 100mph!!!
