Default Best roads in San Jose?

I was trying to find some good twisty roads but instead just found a lot of bumpy stuff (Almaden to Henry and around there). Is Hicks any good? Is there anything better around there?

Dude, go ride Hwy 35 or 9 to 4 corners/ Alices restaurant. Hwy 9 should be close to you toward Santa Cruz. There should be a ton of twisties near you. There a little booklet called "Riding Roads" or something like that that has good motorcycle riding roads available or search the web. You should be getting some replies on this post of some awesome No-Cal roads.

I am originally from marin so I guess I am spoiled. I used to do mount tam and 1 almost every day. I just want some real local roads that are good and only a few miles away I'll check a few more local roads tomorrow.

Man, you guys are making me homesick and sick at the same time. I really miss the roads out there. I am in Vancouver again and there are some nice roads here but I can't do anything without a bike. The Laguna Seca USGP's coming up and my buddies aren't going so I am trying to decide whether to go or not. I was going to Camper it with them but now I'm without a spot. Oh well; Anyone of you guys going? If I don't go, a trackday is definitely in the very near future with the cash I'll save.

I use to ride mt t and 1 but that was like 15 years ago. I also always drove handlebar bikes like gpz and interceptors. Unlike my old bikes, pain in the neck and numbness of hands are real things to contend with.
