Battery Problem??!!??

Ok so I know its been a while, but the charger seems to be doing the trick, i returned the sears charger because it got to close to the exhaust and melted lol...SO i went out and bought the battery tender$30(junior) (the guy said the plus $60 was overkill) and installed the quick connects on the left side so its no where near the exhaust so far no problems. After the charger the bike never game me any starting problems even after i turn it on a couple times and a stall here and there(practicing hills)...Any Advice on taking off on a hill, I leave my foot on the rear brake with the clutch in, then i give it about 2-3k rpms then release the clutch and the brake slowly.. been working alright, any other tips would really appreciate it thanks...

The more you get used to it the easier it will become, but the rear brake is a good technique to use.

Remember the battery charger is just a band-aid you still need to fix the problem so the bike will not be reliant on the charger. Have you checked out the charging system yet?

I use my rear brake more than some out there. A good practice to know. congrats.

just a dumb question but have you checked the cables on the battery to make sure they are tight? I had that problem once the stupid dealer where i got my bike did a crappy job when they unpacked my bike from the crate it came in and they left the battery cables slightly loose. Maybe that is your issue. but then a again you put the leads from you battery tender on so maybe you have fixed it after all.

You know ever since i started riding it on the street and and hooked up the battery tender (knock on wood) it never game me anymore starting problems...When i take it out, I turn it on and off maybe about 5 times and it starts back up fine, i did notice that when i press the starter and turn the accelerator a little it starts quicker... I did take it off the tender for a couple days and it started no problem...for all i know it was probably just my kickstand sensor lol....it is embarrassing when i forget to put the kickstand up and i put it in gear and the bike shuts off lol, but i'm getting better.

that is a safety feature that kawi puts on there bikes that way you don't ride a round with your kick stand down and wreck when it digs into the road when you turn. It's a good thing to test out every once and a while.

hahaha, at least you are more familiar with your ride. It is all good.
