Default Back from Alaska

Hi ya'all,

Been gone for 10 days camping in Alaska with my son & the Boy Scouts. It was awesome! We flew into Anchorage and drove around a bit. I saw someone on a green 05 636 riding double. It was cold outside; in the 40's. We camped in a tent for a couple of nights in the rain. Stayed dry but got some water inside. Then it was off on the Alaskan Railroad to Denali National Park where we tented there a day and took the bust tour. Saw some Grizzly bears, dall sheep, moose, caribou, a falcon & eagles. Saw a ZX10R heading the opposite direction on the way to the Glacier. We camped an hour outside of Fairbanks for 6 days and saw a lot of things. Went gold panning, hiking, and Pike Fishing! Huge fish; Will post pictures later. Anyway, I am in Vancouver, B.C. for a couple of days then back home to Texas on Monday.

Yes, my son loved it except for the swarms of HUGE mosquitos and the rain the first couple of days. I also saw a guy on a Busa along with a bunch of other BMW's & Dual purpose bikes on the dirt/ gravel road from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay. The bike had a Texas Flag paintjob. Long ways from home. Anyone have a 636 in Anchorage?

It's great to be back. Really appreciate the hot showers and flushing toilets and living in a house instead of a 3 person tent. It wasn't too bad though; an experience to remember. It was FUN. I am in Vancouver right now and I will post pictures as soon as I get home.

I can't say if it's great but can tell you that it's FREEZING COLD. They do ice wind surfing in the winter when the ocean & lakes freeze over. Too cold for me. The weather is nice there now.
