Smile Aloha from Hawaii

Aloha to all! Just picked up a brand new '09 ZX6R for 8k OTD (includes 5 year warranty)! Trading in my '07 650r (with 16k miles) assisted in that pricing The only issue I have is "parking spot maneuvering". It's easier for me to get off the bike, move it into position, then ride off... darn my 29 inch inseam. At stops, no problems there. I want to lower it, but I don't want to change parameters with regards to hard cornering. I want to use the ZX6 on track days and am afraid if I lower it, I'll disadvantage myself in the full use of the bike. Any comments, thoughts about lowering or not lowering is greatly appreciated. I'm 5'4" with a 29" inseam. Mahalo (thank you) in advance for all the advice. Aloha!

Welcome to KF.

Set up the suspension first before lowering anything. Generally, once the sag/suspension is set up for you, it normally will lower it slightly and also make you more comfy on the bike. Congrats on the new ride.

Thank you all for the warm welcome
@ Dragone #19 - Thank you, I'll have to consider that!
@ hoedogg - I'm not sure how they regulate vehicles, but on peak traffic hours nothing but a sea of red lights.
@ deej - LOL, I guess I'll have to pick up the pace on posting. I've been busy riding, surfing, and playing paintball/airsoft. I used to stay indoors more while I was on the mainland during the winter I don't like the cold.

All, I decided not to lower it, but I'll have to set up the suspension for me. I didn't know alot of my friends have my issue and I found out they just move the bike while it's warming up and get on, then drive away. Thank you again for the warm welcome! Aloha and God Bless You All !
