air shifter

RE: air shifter
The way I understand it you have a cylinder of co2, compressed air ect. and there is a hose that runs to a air ram (like a piston that is pushed by air) that is connected to to the shift arm. You press a button that is hooked up to a solenoid valve that flows the air into a valve that actuates the ram that shifts the trans. I have seen electric ones that just use a longer throw solenoid to shift.

RE: air shifter
i have 1 on my bike drag bike, it's electric over airand it's wired up thru my horn button so when i want to shift i just mash it, i have the co2 bottle and air compressor and it's wired up thru a toggle switch to when i want to air it up at 100 psi and turn that switch off and turn the other switch on thats wired up thru the horn to shift gears, people mostly use these when dragraceingl, so if i wasn't planin on raceing then i would say no
