Default Aftermarket Fiberglass Fairings:(

I know the Magma Red Upper fairings are very hard to find used so 3 months ago, I bought an 05 636 Magma Red Upper aftermarket fiberglass fairing off ebay from fullspeedparts. In their descriptions, the claim "It fit like OEM".

BULL$#IT!

They don't come anywhere near close to fitting like OEM fairings. The fit and finish sucks on these especially on the inside. There are globs of bondo and if it flexes just a little, it cracks. The headlight mounts do not line up at all. They require extensive re-work to make them fit just to look halfway decent fron 20 feet away. When you go to tighten the mirrors, they start to make a cracking sound and there are large gaps between the fairing & bracket. I'm afraid to tighten them more because they will crack. I had to relocate & replace all the headlight mounts because the were way off and split when I installed the screws for the headlight. The holes to the lowers do not match up and they don't mount flush either. Even the color doesn't match. My mistake was that I waited too (2 months) long before even opening the box to inspect the item but if I had, I would have asked for a full refund. They aren't worth giving away for free; maybe for a ratty stunt bike and it will probably last a couple of hours before all the bondo and paint vibrate/ flake off from the first wheelie!

Please be aware when buying these from fullspeedparts on ebay.

I have some sharkskinz race fairings and it all bolted up real well. You have to drill it yourself so its hard for things to not line up, but in my opinion its definitely worth it. They are sturdy and flexible. Mind survived going down at 45
