Default Additional electrics

Where is the best place to wire up additional electrics to an 05 zx636? specifically, i'm looking at a blue underbody led kit & a radar detector. anybody have any experience with underbody lights? how many lights would be good for one bike?

comes with 4-led strips total..

x4, so 16 led strips total.
thanks

try this guy... on ebay his name is joe-florida

I bought a kit from him (like 20-30 indv LED's) and put them on my bike and still had extra. He is very reasonably price and his stuff is top notch...

sorry for not putting where I wired it to... I didn't have time... but now I do so here goes...

I just put the wiring up to the positive battery terminal with an on/off switch and the negative wiring to a random well grounded place near the battery (it could have been the negative terminal I don't remember). I then ran wiring throughout the bike and branched off each LED. I think I put on about 10.

I haven't really used it because my work schedule doesn't really condone me riding at night and the cops are pretty strict about underbody lighting kits.

Even though LED's take such little power, I put a fusible link on anything running straight to the battery. It's cheap insurance, just put the fusible link somewhere where its easy to access the fuse.

I forgot to mention that the on/off switch that I got from that Joe-Florida guy included a fuse...

no clue about the radar detector... don't need it... I'm a whimp and don't go that fast...

I'm assuming you could just wire it in to the battery. Do you plan on permanently mounted or do you want to make it removable so no one steals it? If you want it to be removable you could get a cigarette lighter and hardwire that in where it won't get wet.
