Since this has been a topic of late...Heres something that I found.
According to a Kustom Signals Talon II radar unit the error in the 2005 ZX-6R speedometer is as listed below. Ambient temperature was approximately 90F, stock Bridgestone BT014 tires with slightly less than 2000 miles on them and factory recommended air pressure.

maybe its some sort of conspirecy where they make the speedos say faster in an attempt to get people not to drive as fast. so that people can look down and see theyre going fast but there not going as fast as it really says.
