Found a 96 6R on CL not far from me. I went to check it out today, and it seems.. ok. Went with a friend who owns a 94 ZX-6 so he knows a bit about them. Tomorrow I'm going back with his brother who knows a lot more about bikes than myself to see if we can get him to lower the price quite a bit. It's definitely been dropped.. he says by the last owner it fell over during a tire change, but it was definitely moving there's some pretty large scratches up the exhaust and on the tail and a bit on the front fairing. Looks like the right fairing has been replaced as it's pretty flawless. But just wanted to see if anything jumps out from these pictures as looking strange or something I should take a closer look at.

It would be my first bike.

I would ofer NO MORE than $2500. Especially if it's got obvious drop damage.

 

Ok, that's why I'm going with my friend's brother... he has a reputation of ripping apart the asking price.

 

Well my buddy's bowling tourny went longer than he thought it would so we didn't end up going. I'm way to busy during the week and the bike didn't impress me a great deal so looks like I'll be looking for the next one.

i ride a 95 zx6r - and other than cosmetics is basicly a zzr600 - been a great bike for me.

I wasn't interested enough to take another 45 min drive. Seller seemed a bit shady and the bike sounded a bit off when we revved it up, so I figured it wasn't worth it.

 

I have a 95zx6r.. Good bike, lots of miles... Still runs fine.. has it's quirks... But overall it is a joy.

$2500 seems like a reasonable price... $3000 would be closer to Primo condition.
