Default 92 Ninja Work

Hey all,
I just started riding sportbikes and I currently have a 1992 ZX6 type D Ninja. It needs some work. I have a couple things to address; one is after riding for about 2 months an antifreeze leak started coming out one of the four headers. Is this a result of a damaged head gasket? Any info is appreciated. Secondly, anyone know a real good site/place to get new plastic at decent cost? Thanks again!

I would assume with out looking at it that you probably have a bad head gasket, or a cracked head.

Time for a teardown. Is it coming from the exhaust port or between the head & cylinders?

I plan on tearing it down in the next week or two. At the time of my last ride, Iwas putting itaway and could hear the antifreeze dripping down and hitting the exhaust pipe (making a hiss sound, because the pipe was hot), andIsaw where it was comingfrom, it was rightwhere the headers bolt onto the engine. Now I didn't pay that close enough attention to notice any cracks in the head. I heard that is possible but improbable. I just know I can't be riding it anymorewith antifreeze goinginto the engine. I believe a damaged head gasket would allow the antifreeze toleak into the engine where the pressure pushes it out through the exhaust pipe. Anyhow, it's downtime for me
