Default AT 90 MPH

AT 90 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE MY BIKE MAKE A DIFFERENT SOUND. RUNNING A STEADY 90 MPH MY 05 ZX-6R GETS A DEEP THROATY SOUND, WHICH QUITES IF I SPEED UP OR SLOW DOWN. JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE HAS NOTICED THIS WITH THEIR BIKES?

NO BRIDGES NO PORNOS. IT ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE IT DEVELOPS AN AIR LEAK, BUT ONLY AT 88 TO 90 MPH. YOU GUYS TRY IT ON YOURS AND HOLD IT STEADY AT 90 AND SEE IF YOU NOTICE ANY CHANGES IN SOUND. I HAVE READ THAT A LOT OF SPEEDOMETERS ARE A LITTLE OFF, OR DIFFERENT BETWEEN BIKES, SO THE BIKE IS AT ABOUT 9000 RPM WHEN THIS HAPPENS.

never noticed it. Also you should be able to reproduce it at 9000rpm in every gear

eh eh deep throat eh eh.

Never noticed any real change exept for the increase in engine and wind noise.
Does it happen only at a certin rpm? Or just 90 mph no matter what rpm?

only thing i focus on when im doing 90 are the a holes infront of me. i tried it on the way to work and it doesnt change sound, just more wind noise, more pipe at wot. but at a steady 9000rpm's, 50,60,70,80,90, 100 + it just sounded sweet.

100+ watch out for the freaking CHP. It is hard not to hit it though.

key is, knowing where they hang out. seems like 100 is nothing once your in cruse mode. i try to keep it down but this was r&d for some needed noise issues. so just this once, it was ok
