I was thinking of upgrading a couple of parts on my 04636. I was wondering if anyone put a 05 and up swing arm on a 04? Will it work, ifyes what do i need to make it work?I hate the stock rims and dont want to pay 2/3grand on rims, will05 and up wheels fit?

Yes the swap can be done. From others that have done it, it's been an easy change for the swingarm, and the wheels then will bolt right up. If you get the '05 rotors as well, you will need 10mm spacers since the rotors on the '05 are larger. That can also be solved by swapping in '05 front forks too.

i just looked at speeds gallery, that's pimp... i guess im going to be lookin for some parts then!
is the 05 swing arm wider on the sides... it looks like im might have to toss my shorty exhaust...
ne one know? Can i still use my 04 shock or will it be a problem... i rather have all the parts
before i start tearing my bike apart.

pretty sure you can still use your shock, as for the exhaust no you dont have to get rid of it i dont think, there is an itailian company that makes a side mount for the 05-06 so i know it can be done. if anything cut out the fairing alittle, it will still look pimp!!!!

yo speed thats hot... how long did it take you to do this swap? did you need to change your rear shock to make the swingarm fit? did you change the front forks to use the 05 rim or did you just use spacers?
