Default 636 Tach

Does a 636 have a digital tach or analog? I'm looking into buying one, but I can't stand a digital tach. I don't like digital speedo's either, but I can live with that.

I read that they don't have the kind of midrange punch that the 636's had

prolly not since the 636 is 636 cc's versus the 07 is 599. but the 07 handles better. the 06 has a digital rpm tach and digital speedo the 07 has the analog rpm tach and digital speedo. it still has plenty of punch you wont be disappointed

What have you got against a digital tach that would keep you from buying a bike? When I bought my '05 636, the digital tach was the very least of my concerns. I mean, instead of a needle going around in a circular pattern, you've got a black digital bar. So what? It would suck if it went out, but I know my bike well enough I could still shift at about the same RPM's as before based upon how the bike feels.

When I got mine I hated the digital tach and speedo. Now I don't even care because all I look at is the temp gauge anyway. If your tucked down and you see the lil' red light outta the corner of your eye light up, shift!
