Default 636 Power Commander Owners

I am about to order a power commander III and BMC filter and I was wondering where a lot of you guys are mounting the PCIII. Under the passenger seat? then what did you do with the tools? Just trying to get an idea where to mount the unit. Btw this is on a 2006 636.

Off to the side under the tail. It is about the size of an index card not big at all. Stuff it anywhere you want in the tail.

Great combo got the same myself w/2 bros carbon fibre exhaust, anyway i stuck mine on the brake side of the bike under the passenger seat using the supplied velcro. havent had any heat problems yet, but i did put heat reflecting tape/ patch under it.

I put mine in the storage tray but I have an 03 with more room. On an 05-06, you may want to put it on the LH side away from the exhaust heat. It will live "long and prosper" that way.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have a Ti Yoshi Slip on. Makes me happy that our bikes have such a fat ***. I'll let you guys know what I come up with. Wish we had a bit more storage.

I put mine in the tool tray. It's a little wider then the tray soit's in there at a slite angle, it leaves jut enough room to fit3 maybe 4 essential tools. Plus I didn't want to mount it in the recommended location (on the left side under the passanger seat) because I likehavingeasy access to plug in the data cable, stillcustoming my map.

Whater you do, follow the instruction regarding heat protection. I've got 2 bros exhaust, my pcIII vibrated loose and spent a few too many minutes on the exhaust canister - melted some of the plastic....still works though.

Sorry to stray from the orignal message but thought this thread was a good place to start. My USBIII is under the pass. seat also, but a '03 with more room.

Anyone happen to have an '03 636, USBIII with a Yosh RS-3 slip-on, K&N filter custom map??? Power Commander doesnt have that map on their site and my only other choice is to spend the $300 for the shop to hook mine up to the dynamometer and make me the map or use a map for a different make of pipe (Micron, Muzzy etc.)

Try one of the User submittedCustom maps by Ivan or FBFon Dynojets website.
