i didn't read the part about the 8 up. So how are the RPMs at 60 and 80 mph?

well, it's raining today, and i haven't sealed the master link yet. I'm thinking of useing a ball peen hammer with something solid behind the link. I won't know until tomorrow. I'm sure i won't top out beyond 120

After pacing my friend on the freeway. at 80 im about 10 mph off.

I can't start to even think what it feels like in the mid range. Did you see what the rpms were at freeway speeds?

now with ball peen hammer goodness.
I found a way to secure the master link with a ball peen hammer and a mini sledge hammer. I added it to the original write up.
