Default 2007 ZX6R Immobilizer issues

Hello guys,

Its been a long time since I posted here but I am having some issues and was hoping someone might have a solution. I will start from the beginning.

Last week someone tried stealing my bike (2007 ZX6R) and when they were trying to hot wire it they destroyed the wiring for the immobilizer and the little wiring unit that sits under the barrel. After doing some research it was apparent to me that if I purchased a barrel through Kawasaki and transferred the new electric unit and immobilizer onto my barrel it should work, plug and play, I would be able to keep my keys and not have to spend $2000 on a new ECU, barrel etc etc.

I received my barrel today, swapped necessary parts and plugged it into the bike. Now the key turns the bike on but the bike won't start. I have a flashing key on the HUD and the red light is flashing in sync with it. The starter motor turns, but obviously the immobilizer is still armed as the engine won't start.

I checked the error code (Holding "Mode" button on the odo reading) and it displays number 35. I have looked that up to mean "immobilizer amplifier failure"

Can anyone give me more insight on this? or any info on how to fix this?

Thanks

Hi mate. What was the problem and how did you solve it? I've got the same code on my 06 636!

Not sure if you're sorted or not, or if you'll even see this.

But I'm currently going through the exact same problem as you, 06 636, error code 35, tried a new immobiliser amplifier, nothing! So the only thing now is the antenna to change. Hopefully sorting it out! It's been frying my head for nearly a week now!!
