2007 ZX6R Exhaust Setup Questions
Hey guys,
I'm new to this site, but after reading some of the posts, it sounds like there's a ton of knowledge in here. I have a few questions for my 2007 ZX6R:
1.) I just purchased the Yoshi RS5 C/F Slip-on and a BMC Air Filter. I wanted to gut my cat as well. Can I still use the Dynojet map for the slip-on by itself, or will I need a custom map including the gutting and air filter?
2.) I've been told removing the honeycomb (gutting) set up in the cat will give your bike more power. Is this true, or am I just ripping my bike up if I do this?
3.) What would have been the difference in HP/Torque if I purchased the full system v.s. the slip-on?
Thanks.

Gutting the Cat will give you more power in the Top-End as will the Full System. With a Full system, it is tuned to give max flow and most top-end power especially with the BMC. You will have to get it custom mapped for best/ max performance. However, you may lose some low-end & mid range power. If you just got a Slip-On and did the ECU Jumper mod, I think it would be great for the street; you'd retain the low-mid range power and have the top end too. Still get a custom MAP either way you decide to go.
