2005 zx6r emmision/smog block off plates
hey guys, i got the sato racing block off plated for my bike to cut down on the backfire, but it didnt come with instructions. i have the plated installed. but here is where my question. when i took off the 2 stock plates, and the hose and the plastic hose splitter that was connecting the hose from the valve cover to the airbox, to the carbon filter, there was a small gray hose that was going to one of my throtel boddies. what do i do wit that hose? plug it so it air tight? leave it loose to suck in air? (dirty unfiltered air) also, if i remove the carbon cannister thats under the upper dash pannel on the left side, what do i do with the hoses that are connected to the carbon cannister? plug them to make them air tight, or what. i think we need somone to write a nice how to remove emmistion controlls with possible pics, or if it exists a link would do just fine. thanx

I have yet to do this to my bike but I plan too. I dont believe I have the carbon canister on my bike but to answer your question about the hose going into the throttle bodies, I think that gets plugged. I have seen it be plugged with a screw but there are other ways.

in the mean time i have plugged that gray hose to the throtel with a bolt, and ive also plugged the hose going to the carbon cannister, god damn i hate california bikes, unnesassery bull****!!! if anyone has taken off their carbon canister please tell me what they did to the hose that goes to the engine or where ever it goes, not the one going to that splitter above the valve cover. im going to put a 2 way fm lcd remote alarm system on the bike, and i need to get ride of that carbon canister to make room. thanx

Plug the lines on the throttle bodies and remove the canister and plug the lined that go to it where the hoses come from. Do not leave any lines unplugged except the breather for the gas tank.
